Summary/Abstract: Although the claim of national minorities in Hungary for parliamentary representation had been present since the change of regime, only the 2011 electoral law ensured it. The nationalities are represented in the Parliament by nationality spokespersons having less competences than MPs since 2014. Can spokespersons or the committee of the nationalities influence the legislation? Do they have any role in parliamentary agenda-setting? Did the minority-related budgetary subsidies increase? This paper aims to answer these questions.
