Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this article is the comprehension of some, often controversial, features of understanding of plagiarism problem with various perspectives, especially in the context of axiology and philosophy, on the ground of information gathered during the “Reception of plagiarism” expert survey (carrying-out period: June–November 2016), which covered members of the Scientific and Methodological Commission of Journalism and Information of Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and university professors of Ukraine. Moreover, the article covers the issue of plagiarism in mass media, in particular deals with copy-and-paste phenomena, as well as cyber plagiarism.
