Summary/Abstract: Nowadays autism is one of the most serious and common development disorders. The purpose of the work is to show how families with autistic children function in society. We are trying to explain that autism influences not only the affected individual, but also other people who are involved in his/her life. Autism influences a number of life aspects, and can determine capabilities and constraints of the affected person. Therefore, we would like to refer to the role of family and the potential impact on quality of the relationship between partners which have a child with ASD. Moreover, in the research, we are considering a gender dimension of care for children with special needs, support between partners of relationship and possible influence on the quality of raising up and growing up healthy peers, If they exist. The methodology used in my research includes in-depth interviews, as well as observations in accordance with the Grounded Theory.
