Summary/Abstract: Edward Sapir and Benjamin Lee Whorf: perspectives and concepts. The paper analyses some aspects of the linguistic theory of Sapir and Whorf and their hypothesis on the influence of language on our perception and idea of the world and reality. The paper highlights the relationship between the analysis of these two linguists and the reflection on the language from Wilhelm von Humboldt to Cassirer and the new anthropological theories of Boas.
