Summary/Abstract: The humanistic perspective on intervention in community social work brings to the forefront the concept-value of change, mainly through capitalizing and engaging the human resources from the community, resources located both at the level of persons as individuals/ personalities, at the level of community as a whole, as well as at the level of human relationships, and especially those from the level of family. The humanistic intervention uses, mainly, the methods taken from individual and group humanistic psychotherapy, the humanistic-existential, humanistic-contextual and humanistic-appreciative methods - mostly oriented towards change, through the human and cultural development/ empowerment of the persons and community, the central ideal, aim, objective being the achievement of autonomy, of the person/ client and community. Throughout the process of intervention - with purpose of change - the humane/ humanistic knowledge, qualities and conducts of the community social worker have a crucial role.
