Summary/Abstract: The paper deals with the narratives of Russian-speaking inhabitants of Latgale about the Latgalian language. The perception of phonetic and lexical level of language is analyzed, the specific examples and phrases in Latgalian are given as well. As an example of this language the informants use the utterances with code switching, the hybrid sentences. The Russian-speaking inhabitants of Latgale perceive the Lat¬galian language as a«mixed» language.
