Summary/Abstract: The article is giving a short presentation of the notion and role of the social security law (the social law). The social security law is a contemporary branch of law that has evolved at the stage when activities of the government in the field of social security were so intensified that they necessitated research. Social security law provides protection against social risks. The goal of this branch of law is to ensure a dignified existence for all people but it is also expected to enable fulfillment of their other social needs related to the coexistence within community. In particular, it refers to welfare services and social inclusion. Social inclusion implies that each individual shall be enabled to achieve personal fulfillment and to participate in all social activities.
