Summary/Abstract: In this paper I present a narrative analysis of Magda Szabó’s A Danaida [The Dana id] novel currently missing from the reception. In this analysis, I would like to point to possible poetic considerations that could warrant the use of an omniscient narrator, including chronological issues, the representation of the consciousness of the characters, as well as the issue of focalization.
