Models of Sentences with Verbs of Fast Movement

Summary/Abstract: In this paper we observe a group of verbs denoting fast movement. Our analysis deals only with the verbs that denote human self-movement on land, with the use of one’s own limbs. We didn’t include the verbs that denote movement of human body parts (hands, legs etc.). We observed both basic and derived verbs. The whole purpose of research is to point out the most tipical and the most frequent verbs of fast movement, to do their se mantic classification as well as to show in which way the direction of the movement can be specified.
