Summary/Abstract: The aim of this paper is to study the dynamic relationship between the inflow of foreign direct investment (FDI) into Poland and the specialization of intra-industry trade in high technology industries. To measure export and import specialization original indicators of intra-industry trade were used. The basic tool used in this analysis is the vector error correction model (VEC model). In light of the obtained results it can be stated that the influence of FDI on intra-industry trade in Poland is bi-directional. On the one hand, foreign direct investment strengthens specialization in import and, on the other hand, reduces the intensity of Polish intra-industry export. The research uses Eurostat and NBP data on export, import, and FDI in Poland.
