Prague: Dokofan, 2004, 242 pp. This work depicts the dramatic period in modern Austrian history when the country went from a democratic parliamentary system to a Nazi regime. It is, according to the reviewer, based on an outstanding knowledge of the primary sources and secondary literature, vividly depicts events frequently neglected by Czech historians, and raises a number of questions that are thought-provoking both for political scientists and historians.
