Summary/Abstract: During the Second Polish Republic a dynamic development of press, including local newspapers, took place. It was influenced by crucial political, social and cultural-educational circumstances. Radom was one of local publishing-press centres. During interwar period, at least ninety one titles appeared there, including Catholic press. One of them was „Prawda Katolicka” (1930-1938) created as an answer to still increasing amount of sects in Radom and in other cities. The magazine was an important tube of popularization the Catholic faith, as well as a platform for polemics with atheists. A large amount of articles published on the pages of „Prawda Katolicka” signalized importance of this problem.
