Summary/Abstract: The article deals with the migration experience of Viennese Czechs as one of the attributes of the ethnic/national identity of the Czech minority in Vienna metropolis. The phenomenon of “Czech” has always belonged to the Vienna and historical and scientific sources speak about the Czechs as the oldest ethnic minority in the city. The first Czech people came to the Vienna with the vision of better jobs in the Middle Ages. The article is focused on individual emigration waves in which the Czech people came to this Austrian metropolis. The phenomenon of migration is seen as one of the important aspects that influenced the integrity of this collectivity in Vienna in the context of time and different biographical narratives of individuals.
