Knowledge Management and Innovation Performance – the World Literature Research

Summary/Abstract: The main aim of this article was to show the relationship between knowledge management and innovation performance in the light of previous world research. For this purpose, a systematic review of literature was carried out. The analysis was made of 125 articles selected from the following databases: EBSCO, ProQuest, Elsevier, Emerald, JSTOR and Wiley. The study showed that knowledge management at the strategic level as well as the appropriate application of specific knowledge management techniques in specific areas is an important factor for building firm’s innovation performance, and that good knowledge management contributes to building a competitive advantage.
