Summary/Abstract: In this paper, we present a new network measurement model with which the complex spatial performance of economic networks can be empirically examined. There is no generally accepted and well-proven methodology for the spatial analysis of the economic network effect mechanisms, primarily this is the reason for the development of a network measurement model based on the synthesis of spatial network analyses (SpNA) and space econometric methods. By using this method, the complex effect of an economic network on tangible and intangible spatial capacities may become operational. In this paper, we deal exclusively with the regional performance of economic and business networks, not with other types of networks. In the network measurement model, the complex spatial performance of an economic network depends on (1) network effects, (2) network externalities, (3) the intensity of network externalities, (4) the number of users of network effects and externalities, and (5) of the area covered by performance. The network measurement model can also have a scientific value and practical benefit for professionals in the area of economic development and territorial policy.
