Summary/Abstract: The paper examines the influence of a Soviet campaign against bourgeois falsifiers of history on the development and transformations of the image of President Edvard Beneš in Czechoslovak historiography in the early 1950s through an interpretation of the role of Beneš during the 1938 crisis.
