Telecommunications secrecy and the possibility to disclose billing data

Summary/Abstract: The Telecommunications Law Act introduces the concept of telecommunications secrecy into the Polish Law. It is understood to mean protection of telecommunications data. The data form, however, the basis for call data records, used to bill the phone calls made by a given subscriber. Therefore, telecommunications data can be disclosed, and thus telecommunications secrecy can be breached. The more so, as many legal loopholes can be found in the Telecommunications Law.
