Summary/Abstract: The article deals with the problem of identification of intergenerational differences in family enterprises in Poland. The author has hypothesized that generational differences are the cause of difficulties in the course of succession. The article has been characterized and classified characteristics of the operation of the four generations. The systematics of goals and motivators of activities of representatives of four generations were developed. A survey among entrepreneurs was carried out. The result of the research are developed generational differences profiles and recommendations for succession processes.
