ОТРАЖЕНИЕ НА ХРИСТИЯНСКАТА КУЛТУРА В БЪЛГАРСКИ И РУСКИ ПАРЕМИИ
REFLECTION OF THE CHRISTIAN CULTURE IN BULGARIAN AND RUSSIAN PROVERBS

Summary/Abstract: Under the influence of the Christian religion in the paremiological fund of the Bulgarian and Russian nation have found reflection a number of cultural values which are affirmed by proclamation of positive qualities and manifestation of moral behavior or by condemnation of the evil embodied in characters, bearers of anti moral charge. In the present statement an interest represents the establishment of the similarities and differences in the perception of the Christian worldview of the Bulgarian and Russian people as well as the extent of its penetration in the national outlook of the two ethnicities. One part of the Russian and Bulgarian proverbs has full or partial language correspondence both between themselves and in the Bible; others - probably influenced by the oral admonitory activity because they contain a biblical text, but represent conclusions or generalizations of a paragraph from the Scriptures. In all these cases the proverbs and sayings of both nations bear the same lessons overlapping with the Christian religion. Some proverbs are triggered by the biblical story which, however, is folklorized and thus have come on a substantial semantic departure from the prototype. The same semantic transformation occurred in the equivalent pairs from this group reveals similarity not only in the national psychology but also in the processes of interaction between biblical culture and the culture of the Russian and Bulgarian folklore creation. It is not excluded a penetration too of Bulgarian proverbs in the Russian paremiological fund or vice versa, but this assumption requires in-depth study of both the linguistic and the historical and ethno-linguistic level. Some proverbs and sayings contain Christian image or concept in their linguistic composition, but do not have a biblical origin. It seems that the borrowed biblical characters and concepts anywhere in the Bulgarian proverbs and sayings from this group have received transformations or have been desemantised. In the Russian proverbs only in the image of Sirnitsa (the first Sunday before Lent) have occurred semantic changes while the term "prayer" and the title "God" have preserved their biblical meanings. This shows that in Bulgarian peoples psychology the public or personal importance sometimes take precedence over Christian idealistic. However, the fact that in the majority of the surveyed proverbs with biblical influence are preserved the Christian morality talks about the preserved fire of faith and the worship of Christian values both in Bulgarian and in Russian spiritual principles.
