Summary/Abstract: The Age of Enlightenment exceeds the boards of literature and human thinking being the first step to the modern literature. The desire to know and to develop gives birth to the taste of travel and explore the world, other countries, continents, cultures and civilizations. The travel theme also found in the literature of the century brings in the center the traveler hero who explores the world to discover it and himself. The trials he has to pass before attending his objective doubts his moral values sometimes, a barrier that the hero has to exceed, to assimilate the experience and continue his trip in a hostile world. In this article, we are showing the ways in which the journey as the theme was explored and the moral implications that it had beside the main hero- the embodiment of the man of Enlightenment.
