Risk in logistics and methods of risk reduction

Summary/Abstract: The concept of risk management in logistics has been discussed in the study. The main aim of the study was to identify determinants of risk management in logistics and identification of possibilities of risk mitigation in logistic company. The main risk factors relevant to logistic enterprises and logistics departments were indicated. The specifics of risk in logistic chains resulting from the need of risk monitoring in many cells were underlined. The stages of risk management process were described and available international standards for risk management were indicated in the paper.
