Summary/Abstract: Transport is an important aspect of the modern world, in which mobility and the possibility of efficient and rapid movement have become an indispensable element of life. The concept of sustainable development is also important, the application of which limits the negative impact of transport on the environment. The subject of consideration of the following study is the sustainable development of public transport. The level of adjustment of public transport to social needs was analyzed, taking into account opinions of the inhabitants of Częstochowa expressed in the survey.
