Summary/Abstract: The main goal of this paper is to reflect on the essence of “entrepreneurial society”. The growing popularity of analyses of social and cultural context of entrepreneurship are reflected in a growing number of publications; culture became a significant part of many fashionable concepts, like entrepreneurship ecosystem or quadruple/quintuple helix. I point out that society and culture became an important part of researchers’ and policy makers’ discourse. On that basis I start with pointing out main elements of entrepreneurial society as well as dilemmas connected with analyzing (and building) entrepreneurial society and culture. In the next section selected elements constituting entrepreneurial society in Poland are presented and discussed, as well as main tendencies in that area. The concluding part sums up the paper; possibilities of shaping entrepreneurial society are discussed. The article is based on conclusions drawn from my empirical studies (Glinka, 2008, 2015; Glinka & Thatchenkery, 2013) and literature.
