Summary/Abstract: The works of authors who are not dominant dramatists always give special attention to the theatrical and wider public. Both Isidora Sekulich and Simo Matavulj are two writers recognized by novels, poetry, narratives, essays and other “no dramatic” forms. Not much of the works of the two authors mentioned on the South Slavic stages are mentioned. When it comes to Isidora Sekulich and her connection with the theater, it is reduced to the staging of the work “How far from man to man” where its co authorship with Jovan Skerlich is significant. On the other side, two works by Simo Matavul (“Promise” and “Bakonja fra Brne”) were the subject of drama creators’ interest. In this way, the work of Isidora Sekulich and Simo Matavulj is embedded in the theater system of the South Slavic environment. The topics that these two authors deal with in their work are human moral values, primarily those of spiritual ones that transcend the temporal spaces and boundaries of reality. In this way, they supplement the theater identity of the South Slavic region.
