Summary/Abstract: The paper focuses on the transformation and complexity of the curriculum and analyses the vertical and horizontal transformation of the curriculum. The vertical transformation of the curriculum introduces the major curricular philosophies and ideologies. The horizontal transformation compares the product- and process-based approach of the curriculum. On the basis of the analysis of the vertical and horizontal transformation of curriculum, the paper draws conclusions raising some dilemmas and possible solution.
