Summary/Abstract: The article deals with the relevance of the quote as the key concept of the theory of intertextuality and modern interpretative stylistics. The expansion and contemporization of the linguistic meaning of the term quote have been illustrated. Linguopoetical, linguocognitive, axiological parameters of the use of quotes in contemporary Ukrainian poetic language have been traced.
