Summary/Abstract: The paper focuses on the use of pragmatic markers in formal spoken communication. Two models of communication are analyzed – a lesson in Bulgarian language and literature and a lecture at Telerik Academy. Attention is paid to the way the observed speaker asks questions and how the students respond.
