Summary/Abstract: The article attempts to thoroughly analyse the Lithuanian political scene in the first years of the reign of King John III Sobieski, by focusing on the description of the course of the sejmik campaign before the Warsaw Sejm of 1677. The aim of the analysis was to reconstruct the system of power and influence on the local scene, which due to the state of preservation and dispersal of the source material, was not an easy research task.
