The Human Capital as the Crucial Factor of the Regional Development

Summary/Abstract: In the present article they paid attention to the human capital as the factor of the regional development. A local and regional impact on development were identified. The considerable part of the work was devoted to the definition of the human capital and his contemporary concept, as well as the review of chosen tools and management methods with capital. A level of the human capital was connected with the development of the region and a level of development of individual regions of Poland was characterised. A substantial role was emphasized in contemporary world of the economy based on the knowledge and the aspiration of Poland to meeting criteria such economies have which, among others through the utilization of funds in frameworks of the EU programs.
