Methods – The methodology of the author’s research is based on methods of economic analysis (economic monitoring), statistical research (statistical observation method and grouping method), abstraction method. Approach – The basis of the study is a systematic approach, a dialectical method of cognition, logical analysis and synthesis. Materials for the study were empirical, statistical data of the auditing companies Ernst & Yang and PricewaterhouseCoopers, materials of monographs and articles. Findings – The research resulted in the identification and description of current trends in the international practice of attracting long-term capital, an understanding of which is the opportunity to use this experience for the targeted development of a national stock market.
