Summary/Abstract: The article studies the compound nouns with the meaning of „person” found in the early Old Russian Menaia of the XIth-XIIth c. A special attention has been paid to the compound substantives not attested in the classical Old Bulgarian Manuscipts. The examined material shows the rare lexemes and lexemes, wich are used only once in hymnographic texts.
