Summary/Abstract: Dynamic socio-demographic changes, especially migrations and population ageing, exert significant impact upon labor market. The present coexistence of four generations of employees necessitates a search for new solutions regarding human resources management. It is particularly true for the transfer of knowledge and skills in professional relations. This paper presents a brief description of employees representing individual generations. In addition, mechanisms fostering workers’ pro-developmental attitudes and intergenerational knowledge transfer are discussed. Moreover, the authors of the paper present results of a pilot study conducted by means of a diagnostic poll among 100 age-diversified pharmacists employed in pharmacies in Lublin.
