Summary/Abstract: The deliberations about the constitutional principle nullum crimen sine lege certa in conjunction with substantive criminal law are the main topic of the foregoing paper. They were presented against the background of courts judgements. The necessity of defining underspecified phrases in connection with legal practice was proven in order to unify criminal responsbility for crimes and offences mentioned in the paper. Moreover, the article deliberates on the lawmakers decision of bindigness of legal definitions phrased outside of penal statutes, but used in practice. It was also pointed out that it is necessary to use underspecified phrases because of their broadness and taken account of their connection with the development of society without unnescessary casuistry.
