Summary/Abstract: The attractiveness and competitiveness of a region depends on many factors i.e. touristic advantages, technical infrastructure, communication availability or a product offer. A contemporary tourist seeks original offer showing the visited region’s character. Because of its location the Podkarpacie province used to be not only a place of clashes of various cultures and religions but also a location of important historical events. Extensive potential of history and culture, distinguishing it among other regions, poses an opportunity to prepare an attractive historical product basing on local culture and history. The article is of review character. It comprises of theoretical penetration basing on source literature and depicts some chosen examples of military cultural tourism products from the Podkarpackie province which have been created on the foundation of the second World War period. The presented objects: the Historical Museum – Dukla Palace, Private Museum of Podkarpacie Battlefields, a German railway bunker in Strzyżów and a railway shelter in Stępina - Cieszyna and Historical Park Blizna are becoming more and more popular among tourists and play an important educational and informative role.
