Summary/Abstract: The diversification of Polish voivodships is perceived on many levels, including economic, infrastructure, social or human capital,which is reflected in the level of their attractiveness, competitiveness or innovation. National Strategy of Regional Development indicates that the main aim the regional politic should be to increase the competitiveness of regions (especially on the international arena) while taking measures to ensure equal development opportunities, thus helping regions that are less developed. In the light of above the basic objective of the study is to determine the level of competitiveness of Kuyavian- -Pomeranian Voivodeship against other voivodships in 2015. The level of competitiveness has been characterized by the analysis of three development areas: economy, human capital and infrastructure. The article also attempts to assess the level of innovation in Kuyavian- -Pomeranian Voivodeship. The results show that the analysed region belongs to the group of medium (moderate) position ones among other regions in Poland.
