Summary/Abstract: The paper examines minority policies in the Central European region during the interwar period, offering a new perspective through a threefold (Hungarian-German-Romanian) approach instead of the frequently used bilateral dimension. For the anaysis, the paper focuses on the example of Jakob Bleyer and the events of 1933, but at the same time it embraces large timescales. The authors argue that the "Hungarus" idea was already outdated in the interwar period, and as a consequence, by that time the "Deutschungar" idea became anachronistic as well.
