Summary/Abstract: Today’s children are the recipients of the media from an early age. For them it is a space of entertainment and education. Often children do well with support for technological equipment, they are had a tablet or smartphone. Note, however, that it is essential to shape all areas of media competence, not only instrumental. So it is reasonable to conduct media education for pre-primary and primary. The article presents the theoretical approach, supported by research and practical. The author is a teacher for implementing this type of education in kindergarten. It is worth noting that the development of media competence is crucial at the present time and should take place in educational institutions and in the family.
