Summary/Abstract: Anthropological examinations were performed on the skeletal remains of the archaeologically important small Avar age cemetery from the 7th century AD. It was found that from the ten individuals seven were children under the age of five, two were young males and there was one young female. The bones were in bad state of preservation but despite that one young male showed features of Mongoloid race, the young female’s facial traits were European. The small cemetery probably belonged to a small community or even to a family but we couldn’t confirm that with our morphological investigations.
