RISK MANAGEMENT PROCESS AND KEY ELEMENTS OF ITS ASSESSMENT BY INTERNAL AUDITOR IN A COMPANY FROM LOGISTICS SECTOR

Summary/Abstract: Risk management in logistics of goods and raw materials in domestic and international traffic requires a special approach from the management of a transport company. The aim of the paper is to present the process of risk management and assessment in a company based on the example of solutions implemented in a transport company. Risk management in transport is a particularly important area in the context of internal auditor’s assessment. The study presents the objective and subsequent stages of the risk management process in the company. The techniques of assessing risk management efficiency by the internal auditor were also discussed. The research methods used in writing the paper include: critical analysis of specialist literature and regulations, critical analysis of internal regulations in the examined entity, comparative analysis, deduction and inference.
