Summary/Abstract: Media are not concerned only with transmitting information to large audiences, but dramatizing the event, his performance (in terms of "performance", staging). Ritual is an event best observed in to a media event, when all meia coverage turns into a ritual. Tragedy of Smolensk and the funeral of the President of Poland is clearly the media event of the first half of 2010.
