Summary/Abstract: The oratory has been brilliantly practiced by the ten elected Greeks, a number settled by the Alexandrian Canon. Oratory was actually practiced by means of the three manners, which became classical: juridical speech, especially practiced by Antiphon, Andiide, Lycias and Isaios; demonstrative speech, especially represented by Isocrates and his rhetoric school; deliberative speech practiced by Demosthenes, Eschine, Hiperides, Lycurgus and Deinarhos.
