Textual manifestation of the authors in abstracts of scientific papers

Summary/Abstract: The present paper fits into the current research on the translation of scientific texts. Its primary aim is to search for the answer to the question whether the conventions in the use of personal and impersonal forms of expression in the abstracts of scientific papers from different research traditions are mutually congruent and whether the style differences should be taken into consideration during the process of translation.
