THE GRADUATES OF THE UNIVERSITY OF ECONOMICS IN WROCŁAW IN VIEW OF THE CHALLENGES OF THE MODERN LABOR MARKET

Summary/Abstract: The research of the graduates’ professional lives is a valuable source of information that enables verification and evaluation of the educational process and didactic offer in relation to challenges in the dynamically changing labor market. Moreover, it can be a valuable tool in modifying, improving and adapting the content of education to the needs of the modern labor market. The main objective of the article is to identify the conditions for the professional development of graduates and to get an answer to the question of how they perform in the modern labor market. The article is based on literature sources, available statistical data concerning the Lower Silesian Voivodship as well as the study of the professional careers of the graduates of the University of Economics carried on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of funding the university. The research was conducted using a diagnostic survey method with an online survey questionnaire that was made available at the University of Economics from March till May 2017.
