Summary/Abstract: The issue of diversity of employees is one of the most important challenges in today’s organizations. The positive potential of diversity is noticed despite the existing barriers. Diversity management can be considered in many aspects. This article is devoted to the gender dimension in the workplace. Its purpose is to describe the aforementioned barriers on the basis of literature studies and a case study, as well as to present possible solutions that may encourage women to perform managerial roles in organizations.
