Summary/Abstract: The paper presents similarities and differences in the perception of women's problems on the present Polish labour market by leaders of old and new social movements (i.e., trade unions and women's organisations respectively). Based on the qualitative research conducted in 2010-2011 in Silesia, the paper focuses on the issue of mutual perception of union leaders in trade industry and female leaders in women's organisations. It also analyses factors facilitating the integration of the both movements and their actual cooperation so far and emphasises the potential of their synergic cooperation.
