EXPORT CREDIT AGENCIES (ECA) AND THEIR ROLE IN MINING FINANCING IN THE WORLD

Summary/Abstract: The problem of financing operations, both operational and strategic, is important in financial management. In the case of some industries, conventional sources of capital are difficult to access due to the conditions of the financial market. An example may be the mining industry, which, to ensure development, has to use alternative financing characteristic for this industry. One of the types of such financing is the Export Credit Agencies, which recently have significantly expanded their activity and developed a new model of functioning. The largest Export Credit Agencies in the world were presented in the paper and their characteristic features were indicated. The largest financing as well as acquiring such capital countries were identified.
