Summary/Abstract: The author discusses implicit language means by which similarity in the Slovák and Russian languages is expressed through words and word collocations only, without any formal sign of comparation. As her materiál basis, the author has chosen literary works by Russian and Slovák novelists (Pasternak, Rasputin, Ballek, Jaroš, Hronský), and their translations háve revealed that in both languages comparative relations are expressed by loose nad stable compounds with comparative and non-comparative struc-ture (i.e. by explicit and implicit means).
