Summary/Abstract: On August 16, 2016 died the German historian Ernst Nolte, one of the best-known representatives of what was called "historic revisionism," that perspective on modern history characterized by the rejection of traditional "social" history (liberal and / or Marxist) modernity, and by condemning the revolutionary phenomenon (in its French and Russian versions in particular) as the bearer and trigger, through its ideological radicalism, the germ of totalitarianism. Three months after the disappearance of the German historian, Vatra Literary Magazine hosts a small dossier on historical significance, ideological function and the political legacy of Ernst Nolte's work and historical revisionism in general.
