THE USE OF EYE TRACKING TECHNOLOGY IN RESEARCH ON IMPROVEMENT OF BUSINESS PROCESSES CONDUCTED IN ERP SYSTEM

Summary/Abstract: In the work the authors present the results of empirical researches using eye tracking technology in studies conducted in an area of business process management and business process optimization by the improvement of an information architecture and graphical interfaces of IT tools. Eye tracking technologies commonly used to discover most effective forms of communication to consumers were implemented by authors to measure a quality of communication between a business process and its participant and for searching for potential areas of improvements. There were two objectives of conducted studies. The first aim was to find answers for questions related to the impact of a shape of ERP application on the flow of business process. The second one is to developed a methodology which allows to standardize studies related to eye tracking research conducted in business process management activities. The results of research presented in the article confirmed the usefulness of implementation of eye tracking technology in research on business process management.
