Summary/Abstract: The Israeli labor law system places a duty on employers to conduct a hearing prior to the dismissal of an employee. It also requires that dismissals should be conducted in good faith. The article presents research undertaken that reveals identifiable tendencies regarding certain factors that influence the court’s rulings of compensation rates for the violation of due process. The findings of the research may help parties and their lawyers to predict to some extent the scope of the compensation award to be expected.
